In this week's Shelter Me report, two inseparable cats find their forever home.
When Casey and Jo-Jo were found roaming the streets as strays, they found comfort in each other's company.
"She'll go right up to him, put her head in front of his face... and he grooms her head," said their owner, Vickie Tilotta. "And then she'll groom him."
Tilotta saw how close they were, so she decided to adopt them both.
"I just fell in love with them," she said. "They let me hold them, and they were just great. They've been great since I brought them home."
That was 5 years ago, and they've now welcomed her into their fold.
"I go out and come home... they're waiting for me," she said. "It's like taking on two children."
Tilotta adopted the pair from the Camden County Animal Shelter.
"Camden County was wonderful," she said. "They had all their shots. They were clean. They were micro-chipped. And when I took them home, all I had to do was add love."
And the shelter has plenty more kitties still looking for love, like 4-year-old Penny.
"She is a very talkative little girl and loves to sit in your lap," said Adoption Center Coordinator Jim Harrison.
Turbo is a 2-year-old American Long Hair.
"He's very laid back, very quiet, just wants to sit," said Harrison. "As you can see, he just loves to be petted."
Sidney Prescott is 2 years old and very curious.
"Will talk to you all the time," said Harrison. "She's a sweetheart."
4-year-old Stiles is a Tortie, but without the 'tude.
"With the right person she could be a lap cat," said Harrison.
And finally there's Taz. Taz's former owner had to go into a nursing home, so he's also up for adoption.
He's good with kids and will make a great family pet.
