Police investigating death of woman found in East Falls apartment

EAST FALLS (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating the death of a 59-year-old woman in East Falls.

Chopper 6 was over the Cambridge Building at the Alden Park Apartments, located along the 2900 block of School House Lane.

There, around 6:30 p.m. Friday, police and medics were notified the victim was unresponsive inside one of the units.

The woman was found with blood on her face and waist by a family friend, police say.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, a cause of death has not been determined.

Police are investigating.
