Man shot and wounded in Rhawnhurst

RHAWNHURST (WPVI) -- A man is hospitalized after being shot in the Rhawnhurst section of Philadelphia.

Officers were called to a home in the 2300 block of Ripley Street at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

They found a 43-year-old man who had been shot once in the leg.

Medics took him to Aria Health / Torresdale with stable vital signs.

Action News is told the victim knows the person who shot him.

There was no immediate word of any arrests.
