A carjacker in Texas made a tearful apology to the man he injured while stealing his car.
The Dallas Sheriff's office released surveillance video of the incident.
It shows 28-year-old Leedon Ireland walking up to a running car and driving off - dragging the owner 75 feet.
Ireland says he was high on meth when he was caught on surveillance video back on July 27.
He admitted it began ruining his life back when he was 12-years-old.
"I wouldn't be able to live with myself if his family lost him. I'm going to do my time and hopefully I get it right," he said.
The victim's wife says if Ireland really wants to make amends, he will do his time, and make it count.
