Suspects sought in pharmacy robbery in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are asking the public's help in identifying two suspects wanted for allegedly robbing a pharmacy in West Philadelphia.

The incident happened around 2:40 p.m. Saturday on the 4100 block of Lancaster Avenue.

Police say a male and female entered the store, and while inside the male kicked in the cashier area entry door.

He then ordered a 25-year-old male employee to get on the floor.

Police say the suspect then motioned to the right side of his waist, simulating he was armed with a weapon.

The female suspect then allegedly began grabbing pharmaceutical packages, and placing the items in a black gym bag.

After a brief struggle with the male suspect, the two fled on foot, heading east on Aspen Street.

There were no injuries reported.

The male suspect is described as a black male, late 20s, 5'8", medium build, medium brown complexion, heavy beard. He was wearing a black bucket style hat with a red band, high capri style Adidas track pants, black shoes, and a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt.

The female suspect is described as a black female, 20-years-of-age, 5'5", heavy build, dark brown complexion, black and brown shoulder length braids. She was wearing a blue bucket style hat, black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, gray shirt, and black sneakers with white bottoms.
