Doctor Paul Katz takes the helm

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A local university that's been around for nearly 200 years now has a new leader

University of the Sciences welcomed its new president Tuesday, Doctor Paul Katz.

He was introduced during this special ceremony on the school's University City campus.

Doctor Katz is now the 25th person to hold the title as president of U-Sciences.

Before coming to Philadelphia, he was the chief medical officer at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach and chairman of medicine at Georgetown University Hospital.
