Liguori Academy open-house

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- It's a work in progress but its just days away from opening.

Liguori Academy held an open-house Wednesday to give the community a first hand look.

The school is in Philadelphia's Kensington section and the mission is to re-engage students who have struggled and need another opportunity in education.

It's a private school that will focus on reading, literacy and prepearing young studnets for the workforce.

40 students are currently enrolled. The first day of class is September 6.
