What's the Deal: Center City District Restaurant Week

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Center City District Restaurant Week begins on Sunday, September 11th.

This year Restaurant Week features more than 115 of Philadelphia's top restaurants plus the chance for diners to win some money.

Chef Garrett Welch of Coastal Latin restaurant Aqimero at the newly renovated Ritz-Carlton is ready to cook up a very special dining experience.

"Our sweet corn soup with lobster dumplings, to our wild mushroom flatbread to our chicken," said Chef Welch.

All in the name of Center City District Restaurant Week.

"Restaurant Week gives you an opportunity to try a new restaurant at a discounted price," said Michelle Shannon from Center City District.

All three-course lunches during Restaurant Week are $20 dollars and three-course dinners are $35 dollars.

"It is a great value - the restaurants give a $50 value for the $35 price," said Shannon.

And this year Restaurant Week diners have the opportunity to win some pretty cool prizes..

Post your favorite photo from Restaurant Week to Instagram and you could win a $50 dollar dining gift card or a $100 dollar TD Bank VISA gift card.

Just make sure you tag @PhilaRestWeek, @TDBank_US, and the participating restaurant where you took the picture.

And some lucky diners will also receive mystery gift cards for Century 21 stores.

"Your check comes out and there might be a gift card in it along with your check," said Shannon.

The Century 21 gift cards will range in value from $5 dollars up to $500 dollars!

Center City District Restaurant Week is happening from September 11th through the 16th and then continues from September 18th through the 23rd.
