College Access Centers receive $3 million
Thousands of Philadelphia high school students are expected to benefit from new federal funding

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Thousands of Philadelphia high school students are expected to benefit from new federal funding.

The U.S. Department of Education awarded 3 Million dollars to Philadelphia's College Access Centers, which help to prepare students for higher education.

The grant will serve 12 hundred students, per year, at 5 public high schools, including Kensington's CAPA, where officials made the announcement Monday.
