PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Eagle under center is the center of attention nationally.

Carson Wentz has the number one selling NFL jersey and even the Vice President and President of the United States are talking about him.

"I thought it was kind of funny. I know a lot of friends and family that it was pretty crazy; it was cool and all," Wentz said.

"Rookies getting shout-outs from the president. Good or bad, doesn't matter. You are on his mind so it was kind of cool," Eagles defense end Brandon Graham said.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson has talked to Wentz about not getting caught up in all the excitement and staying focused on football. After all, who could blame a 23-year-old rookie if he did get caught up in all of this buzz?

But not Wentz. He said he could block it all out, just as he did with the hype surrounding the NFL Draft.

"It's crazy how much I can focus in on football and not let a lot of this get to me. It's still just football. We played a game. We won. It was awesome, exciting, but it's onto the next," Wentz said.

"He's handled it fine. I tell you, he and I have had conversations the last couple days and I just wanted him to be aware of just limiting the noise on the outside. Let's just focus on football," Pederson said.

Wentz insists he's been able to block out everything and focus on beating the Chicago Bears.

Even with this coming under the bright lights of Monday Night Football, Wentz sounds ready to shine again.
