A postal worker in Philadelphia is being called a hero after he saved his co-worker's life.

During a ceremony Friday at the US Post Office in University City, the staff at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital recognized Officer Gary Booz.

On July 25, Booz was getting ready to start his deliveries for the day when Lynette Wilmer passed out.

Turns out, she was having a massive heart attack, but no one knew it at the time.

Employees called 911 and the dispatcher urged them to find someone who knows CPR.

At that very moment, Booz showed up.

"All the doctors praised him. 'He was so good. He was better than we could have done.' Im grateful, Gary, I'm grateful," said Wilmer. "I know without Gary on the work floor. I wouldnt be here."

Booz wasn't even supposed to be in the building at that time.

He had come in two hours early because the Democratic National Convention was in town that day, and wanted to get his mail delivered on time.
