CHICAGO -- A lamb broke loose from a Chicago slaughterhouse Saturday afternoon, dodging traffic in the city's Canaryville neighborhood until it was nabbed.

At about 2 p.m., the lamb was spotted running near the iconic Canaryville street sign on the city's Southwest Side.

The lamb was on the lam for about 10 minutes, chased by a bearded man, presumably from the slaughterhouse, through the afternoon rain drizzle.

The lamb was cornered beneath a viaduct, with the help of a truck and a news van, and then driven away in the back of a pickup truck.
