Pedestrian struck, killed on I-295 in Burlington Co.

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. (WPVI) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 295 in Burlington County, New Jersey early Friday morning.

It happened at Exit 36 for Route 73 in Mount Laurel.

It wasn't immediately clear why the pedestrian was on the highway.

It's also not known if the driver of the striking vehicle is cooperating with police.
