A 16-year-old girl, and a 24-year-old man were injured after a dirt bike collided with a car in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood.

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- A 16-year-old girl and a 24-year-old man were injured after a dirt bike collided with a car in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood.

It happened around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at A and Indiana streets.

Police say the man was operating the bike erratically with the teen passenger.

They were heading west on Indiana when the bike hit a Hyundai.

The victims on the bike were critically injured in the crash.

The man was taken to Episcopal Hospital and then transferred to Temple University Hospital.

The teen was also taken to Temple.

The male driver in the Hyundai suffered superficial injuries. He declined to go to the hospital.

Police say the bike was unlicensed and illegal for city use. The bike was confiscated.

Witnesses told police the man was spotted earlier in the day riding the bike erratically.
