The HOV lane is normally reserved for high occupancy vehicles by giving multi-passenger cars a little break during rush hour.

Now, Washington State Police have released a photo showing the fake passenger a driver concocted to ride the lane.

But this was no ordinary attempt to cheat the system - the passenger is a fake baby.

Police say the driver got pulled over for something else and that's when they found the fraud in the car seat.

Turns out it was a ball with a hat on it disguised as a baby.

That driver ended up with not one, but two tickets - and a pretty embarrassing dose of public shaming.
