Man shot answering front door in Brewerytown

BREWERYTOWN (WPVI) -- Police say a man answered his front door in the Brewerytown section of Philadelphia and found a gunman on the other side.

It happened at 11 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 1400 block of North 30th Street.

Officers arrived to find the victim, a man in his 20s, shot in the torso.

They rushed him to an area hospital in critical condition.

The shooter remains at large.
