Foster grandparents luncheon

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- There was a celebration Thursday for the elderly who give back to children in Philadelphia.

Mayor Jim Kenney recognized those who take part in the city's foster grandparents program at a luncheon at Union Trust.

The program is in its 51st year.

It is federally funded and places low income seniors in support roles to children with exceptional needs.
