Police: Child shot in Millville apartment complex

MILLVILLE, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a child was shot inside an apartment complex in Millville, New Jersey.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Oakview Apartments, located on the 1700 block of East Broad Street.

Police say the boy was struck shot while outside an apartment building in the complex when the gunfire took place.

Witnesses stated they heard approximately 5 to 7 shots, which they believed to be fired from a vehicle that was driving through the complex.

The child was taken to Inspira Medical Center Vineland in stable condition.
