Police ID 2 killed in double shooting in North Philadelphia

Police are looking into drugs as a possible motive for a deadly double shooting in North Philadelphia.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police have identified two men killed in a double shooting in North Philadelphia.

The victims were identified Friday as 41-year-old Josephus Butler and 45-year-old Norman Brown.

It happened at 9:49 p.m. Wednesday on the 2000 block of Turner Street.

Officers found the victims inside a residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

Butler was taken to Temple University Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The investigation is active and ongoing with the Homicide Unit.
