4 injured in Route 55 crash in Gloucester County

Four people were injured, three critically, in a crash on Route 55 in Gloucester County.

FRANKLIN TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Four people were injured, three critically, in a crash on Route 55 in Gloucester County.

It happened just before 3 p.m. Saturday in the southbound lanes in Franklin Township.

Police say a female driver of a Izuzu Rodeo heading southbound lost control of the vehicle, causing it to go off the roadway and hit some trees.

Two of the four occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

All four occupants were taken to Cooper Medical Center.

Two female passengers and one male passenger are in critical condition.

The driver is in serious condition.

The southbound lanes were temporarily shut down as police investigated.

The victims' names have not been released at this time.

State Police are investigating.
