Action News Sports Director Ducis Rodgers spoke to former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb following the Birds 27-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.

Ducis: What do you think the chances are they can still make the playoffs?
Donovan: I think the focus needs to be just on the next game. I think for this football team, it's about cleaning up the mistakes, assuring tackles, make sure you're blocking the right guy, and being accountable for your mistakes.

I think this is a year, which as a player you don't want to hear, the rebuilding phase. But I think for a lot of these different guys, they're learning a new offense, learning a new defense, they're playing against opponents who have some experience - so take something out of it and we'll see what happens in the next couple of years.

I think patience is important for not only the players, but also for the fans, as well.

Ducis: A lot of offensive starters missing tonight, Nelson Agholor, some people along the offensive line, how difficult does it make Carson Wentz's job when he doesn't have all his weapons?
Donovan: You have to go into the game with a full chamber. You have to have guys healthy, but that's the game of football. At this particular time of the year, everyone's battling injury. For the Philadelphia Eagles, the most important thing is to keep your head up, continue to keep grinding, go into practice, try to clean up your mistakes, and come out and try to do whatever it takes to get a win. If they do that, they can continue that on through the rest of the year and take something into the offseason.

Ducis: How good is a guy like Aaron Rodgers?

Donovan: He's very good. His numbers speak for himself. From the eye test this year, it hasn't been the same Aaron Rodgers that we've seen all year. This game was the first game that I could probably say in the last five to seven weeks that their offense has been on timing. Their passing game has always been timing based. They did a great job versus the blitz when they decided to just rush forward. He was able to sit back in the pocket and buy time for receivers. That's Aaron Rodgers. If that happened all year, they'll be a much better ball club. But they suffered some injuries, too, on the defensive side. They just did a great job in dealing with what they had to do in order to win.
