Police officer charged after daughter, 8, shot in Stratford, NJ
Camden County officials have charged a Stratford police officer in connection with the gun-related death of his 8 year old daughter.

STRATFORD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Camden County officials have charged a Stratford police officer in connection with the gun-related death of his 8-year-old daughter.

Kenneth Righter is now facing child endangerment charges.

Prosecutors said he left his revolver loaded and unsecured on a shelf.

Sailor Righter was found shot to death by her sibling on New Year's Eve.

Prosecutors have not yet released details of her death, and have not said whether she shot herself, or was shot by someone else.
