Recognizing school improvement

OLNEY (WPVI) -- 25 Philadelphia schools are being honored for making big improvements, and Olney Elementary is one of them.

District Superintendent Doctor William Hite was there to announce the results of the School Progress Report.

It measures overall improvement rather than test performance alone.

This year, 74 percent of district schools improved their school climates, which is a strong indicator of future academic performance.
