What's the Deal: Money-saving apps
If you are looking for some extra cash, we're helping you find some in your very own bank account.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- If you are looking for some extra cash, we're helping you find some in your very own bank account.

There a few new and free apps designed to help you find, and save, your own money.

If you consider budget to be a bad word, download an app called Level. It syncs with your checking account so it knows what you've spent and how much cash you have left.

Then, it crunches your money by looking at your spending habits and gives you an estimate on how much money you can spend over a week or a month.

The Digit app helps you save money by doing it for you. The app looks at your spending and then automatically tucks away money into a savings account, but only when you can afford it.

Finally the Unsplurge app offers tips and also comes up with challenges to get you to save more money.

As an incentive, you can upload a picture of what you are saving for along with an amount, and Unsplurge will give you updates until you reach that goal.

All of these apps are free and make saving money both attainable and a little fun too.
