PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- As we settle into February, Valentine's Day is just around the bend.

And while we tend to see a lot of markups on things like flowers, chocolates and jewelry, our friends at Deal News say now is the time grab the best Valentine's deals around.

They say to check eBay and Groupon along with flower delivery services like 1-800-Flowers and FTD. If they are offering specials, they will be gone by the end of the week.

President's Day is just two weeks away and that's when we tend to see a lot of home goods on sals with as bedding, towels and appliances.

Deal News says check stores like JCPenney, Bed Bath & Beyond and Home Depot for big savings.

They also say there are a number of popular stores that are going out of business and prices are being slashed.

American Apparel is offering 40% off sitewide, but all orders are final sale.

Coming later this year is a new round of closings for both Sears and Kmart locations, so look out for clearance sales.

Other hot deals this month include the best, final big sales on winter apparel.

Everything from coats to sweaters, boots and ski attire will be deeply discounted, and this is your last chance to save big time.

But there's one thing you should hold out on. If you need a new tablet, rumor has it that new iPad Pros will be announced sometime this spring. That means prices on the older models are expected to drop.
