NEWTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) --Motorists found the snow and wind gusts quite challenging in Newtown, Bucks County early Thursday morning.
The conditions got worse before they got better.
Heavy snow covered the sidewalks and streets.
Motorists moved slowly navigating through the snow.
And roads are still slippery in spots.
However some folks preferred to take in the scenery and walk.
Maryanne Kline of Newtown said, "I love the beauty, the quietness, and the sports.
Newtown Hardware was one of many stores that opened for business.
"I sell shovels, firewood, and basically everything you could ever need to winterize. I sell sleds, the sleds are the most important one," said Tim McCuen.
There were several minor accidents and arching wires. But fortunately, no serious injuries or power outages.
