Snowstorm hits Allentown
There was fun and shoveling in Allentown.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- It finally looks like winter and snow lovers are rejoicing in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

"When I got up this morning, we saw maybe about 4 inches on the railing, and that is how we've always determined how much snow there really was," said Janice Ettl.

Michael O'Brien said, "It makes me breathe a little easier and it gets rid of all the bugs."

Like much of the area, Allentown was transformed into a winter wonderland as we got our first sizable snow of the season.

The O'Brien family says when winter arrives, they are always prepared. They even have a plow truck.

The couple is mixed about how they feel about the snow. He loves, she hates it.

"I don't want to see more, no. This is good," said Wanda O'Brien.

Many of the neighborhood roads were passable, evident that snow plows had been busy at work.

Today's images are a total opposite from yesterday's when we saw temperatures in the 60s.

It is winter and some say, this snow is a reminder of what it should look and feel like it.

Janice Ettl says, "I am always ready for the spring, but we need six more weeks of winter, yes, we need it."

The snow has stopped in Allentown and while some are hoping for more, others say they have had their winter fix and are counting down to spring.

"Hopefully this is it. You are getting near the end of the winter season, but March can be really nasty as you guys know," said Barry Ettl of Allentown.

Many motorists will be getting back on the roads now that the snow has ended.

And, a quick reminder to all, is to clean the snow off of your cars. It is a state law.
