Police responding to a crash instead found the victim of a shooting Wednesday night.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police responding to a crash at Adams and the Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia instead found the victim of a shooting Wednesday night.

The driver had been shot several times in the left leg and upper left arm.

Investigators don't know where the shooting actually happened, but the 29-year-old victim drove himself until he crashed into a cemetery wall at 7:30 p.m.

Police think the motive may have been drug related.

The victim is in stable condition at Albert Einstein Medical Center.
