Honored for ultimate sacrifice

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Applause tonight for three Wilmington firefighters who died in the line of duty, as their families received posthumous honors on their behalf.

Lt. Jerry Fickes, Captain Christopher Leach and firefighter Ardythe Hope were all named Firefighters of the Year, during a ceremony at the Hotel DuPont.

Fickes and Leach died in the September arson on Lakeview Road.

Hope died of her injuries after 2 months in the hospital.
