WEST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- The search is on for the driver who struck and injured a Philadelphia police officer in West Oak Lane.
It happened just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday at 20th and Spencer streets.
Police say an officer was struck by a vehicle and the driver fled the scene.
The officer was taken to Einstein Medical Center with minor injuries.
Police describe the striking vehicle as a 2005 Pontiac Silver Grand Prix with a possible Pennsylvania license plate of JLA-9786.
The vehicle was last seen heading north on 20th Street.
