Fire erupts at Bucks County high school

PERKASIE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Bucks County authorities are investigating a fire at Pennridge High School in Perkasie.

Fire crews were called to the school at 1228 North 5th Street around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Heavy smoke was reported at the school on arrival.

The sprinkler system extinguished the fire, which damaged three classrooms on the third floor.

The district says it was started by an electrical malfunction.
