Hearing loss expected to soar in US over next 40 years

Hearing loss in America is expected to soar over the next 40 years.

And it's not just older adults who will be affected.

Johns Hopkins researchers say it will nearly double by 2060.

Although those over 70 will be the biggest share, young and middle-aged adults will make up a growing proportion.

Doctors say loud music, such as in concerts or from headphones, are part of the cause.

But big city noise is also to blame.
