NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Age is not stopping a 100-year-old woman who still goes bowling twice a week in Northeast Philadelphia.

Dorothy Trumbush has been bowling regularly for the past 50 years plus!

"I get up in the morning, get out of bed and thank the Lord for another day," she said.

Dottie, as she's known to her friends, has actually been plowing down pins in two leagues.

"I used to carry 143, 150 but not anymore. It's a little hard now," she said.

Stephanie Faherty has bowled with her for about 12 years.

"I come in and when we're bowling her she'll say 'Oh I'm bowling you.' and she gets all upset I'm going to beat her. And she usually ends up beating me one or two games," said Stephanie.

So it was only fitting that Dorothy cut the cake on her 100th birthday at the bowling alley.

"My mom has a passion for life and every day she gets up and whatever is on her agenda for the day she's ready to tackle it. She just loves life," said Dottie's daughter, Joan Derry.

Happy 100th birthday, Dottie!
