Police: Man stabbed roommate in face in Norristown
A man is facing multiple charges in connection with the stabbing of his roommate in Norristown, Pennsylvania.person was hospitalized after a violent assault in Norristown, Montgomery County.

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A man is facing multiple charges in connection with the stabbing of his roommate in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

Forty-two-year-old Jose Ojeda-Flores is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, along with other charges.

Police received a report of a stabbing at 6:25 a.m. Friday on the 800 block of Arch Street.

Upon arrival, a crowd located in front of the residence identified Ojeda-Flores as the alleged stabber.

A responding officer observed the suspect covered in blood, who police say then aggressively charged toward the officer, resulting in the deployment of the officer's taser.

The suspect was detained and placed under arrest.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, was found bleeding heavily from his face and mouth area.

He was taken to a trauma hospital for surgery. He is in stable condition.

The suspect was also taken to a trauma hospital for wounds to his hand. He was reportedly found to have a small amount of suspected narcotics in his possession at the time of his arrest.

Ojeda-Flores was arraigned via video while at the hospital and given $99,000 cash bail.

The cause of the attack is unknown at this time.
