Battle of the Badges

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Police Department and Fire Department are going head to head in the Battle of the Badges.

Friday they kicked off their annual weight loss competition.

Police Commissioner Richard Ross and Fire Commissioner Adam thiel weren't the only ones who jumped on the scales.

The department mascots also got in on the action.

The teams have 13 weeks to lose as much weight as possible.

The winning team gets a trophy and Weight watchers will make a 10 thousand dollar donation in their name to the Hero Thrill Show.
