Big Brothers Big Sisters in Blue

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia students are forming new bonds with the city's men and women in uniform.

Officials launched the Bigs in Blue youth mentoring program Friday at D. Newlin Fell Elementary.

This partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America pairs officers with children in the district they serve.

The goal here is to build trusting relationships between police and the younger generation.
