Uber introduces service for parents to track teen rides
Uber is rolling out a new service to give parents a little peace of mind.

Uber is rolling out a new service to give parents a little peace of mind.

It's called Teen Uber and it allows parents a way to keep track of their kids even after they've been dropped off.

The ride sharing service just rolled out this new program.

First, mom and dad can add their teens to a "family profile."

That means the kids can now request their own car - but here's the catch.

For 20 minutes after the drop off, parents can confirm their whereabouts through GPS so they know that where they got dropped off.

Teen Uber is in the pilot phase and is only available so far in a few cities.
