Suspect sought in South Philadelphia home invasion

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a home invasion in South Philadelphia.

Authorities say around 1 a.m. Saturday a male dressed in all black clothing and armed with a handgun forced his way into a home on the 2600 block of South 9th Street.

Police say the suspect entered through the rear door and made off with hundreds of dollars.

He fled the home heading northbound on South 9th Street.

There were no injuries reported during the incident.
