School lockdown ends in North Philadelphia; assault investigated

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Officials say a lockdown at the William Dick School has ended, but the investigation of a nearby assault continues.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 2400 block of North 24th Street.

Police say a male was rushed to Temple University Hospital for treatment.

There is no word on what led to the assault or the condition of the victim.

It's unclear if police were able to locate the suspect in the assault.
