Man sentenced to 15-30 years in attempted murder of wife, toddler

WEST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- A West Oak Lane man, convicted of trying to kill his wife and toddler, will spend the next decade or more in prison.

A judge sentenced Stephen Burton to 15 to 30 years behind bars Wednesday, followed by 10 years' probation.

Burton stabbed his wife, Denecia Berian, and their 21-month-old daughter, at their Dallas Street home back in 2015.

Both were critically injured, but survived the attack.
