SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A sell-out crowd will welcome the Philadelphia Phillies back to Citizens Bank Park Friday for the team's home opener against the Washington Nationals.

Phillies' first baseman Tommy Joseph, who will be batting sixth in Friday's lineup, told Action News the team has been looking forward to this day since the start of spring training.

The first pitch will be thrown at 3:05 p.m., but the party at Citizens Bank Park was already getting started early Friday morning.

Action News found fans waiting in line for tickets before the sun came up.

The ballpark features at least one very prominent safety feature for players and fans this season.
