A man was wounded in a shootout early Monday morning in Southwest Philadelphia.
It happened on Woodland Avenue near 49th Street around 4 a.m.
Police say the 27-year-old victim was walking down the street when a man opened fire from across the street.
The victim was shot three times, but managed to pull out his gun and fire back.
Police say the victim has a license to carry.
The suspect ran away. It is not known if he was hit by any bullets.
The victim is in stable condition at the hospital.
