NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Ten people, including four children, were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash that shut down a section of I-295 in New Castle, Delaware for more than two hours.
It happened just after 10 a.m. Saturday in the westbound lanes approaching I-495.
New Castle County Police tell Action News ten vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction pile-up.
Images from the Action Cam at the scene showed multiple police and rescue units on the scene.
All the injuries were said to be non-life-threatening.
There was no immediate where the injured victims were taken.
All westbound lanes of I-295 were shut down as police investigated.
The right lane was back open by 11:45 a.m. The remaining lanes were reopened by 12:20 p.m.
Traffic was backed up over the Delaware Memorial Bridge into New Jersey for hours due to the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
