Bucks County high school bans 'promposals' during school hours
The Levittown high school says "promposals" are too attention-getting, over the top and distracting.

LEVITTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Seventeen magazine once crowned the big dance at Pennsbury High School the best prom in America.

But the elaborate prom proposals to go with it that will have to happen after school hours.

The Levittown high school says "promposals" are too attention-getting, over the top and distracting.

With busy hallways and changing classes, the superintendent says the large crowds they draw can affect safety.

So now, "promposals" are banned during schools hours at Pennsbury and as you can imagine, some students are bummed.

The school district says they are still allowed on campus, just not in the main school building and it must happen before or after school hours.
