Police: Boy, 13, charged with shooting in Edgemoor

EDGEMOOR, Del. (WPVI) -- New Castle County Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy in connection with the shooting of a 15-year-old.

It happened on the night of April 16.

Police say the 15-year-old was shot and wounded in the unit block of south Pennewell Drive in Edgemoor, Delaware.

The victim has since been released from the hospital.

Officials tell Action News an investigation led them to obtain an arrest warrant for the 13-year-old this week.

They say he turned himself in on Thursday.

He was charged with first-degree assault, possession of a firearm, and two counts of first-degree reckless endangering.
