Victim robbed and shot in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A robbery ended in gunfire in West Philadelphia.

It happened at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say a 31-year-old man was shot once during a holdup at 59th Street and Osage Avenue.

The victim told officers that two suspects robbed him, beat him, then shot him before fleeing south on 59th Street toward Larchwood Avenue.

Medics rushed the man to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.

Investigators are looking for two suspects described as black males who were wearing all black clothing with hoods covering their heads.
