Philly Police hold their own version of a draft.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The NFL Draft is in Philadelphia and the social teams of the City of Brotherly Love are getting in on the fun.

To make sure everyone stays safe, the Philadelphia Police Department has given an update in the form of a draft, with Commissioner Richard Ross at the helm, of course.

"With the first update on the NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Police Department selects from La Salle University Captain Sekou Kinebrew," Ross announced in a video posted to the department's social media accounts.

With that announcement, Kinebrew goes into an ecstatic celebration complete with selfies and file footage of fans from past drafts.

However, Kinebrew's celebration goes on a tad too long, leaving Ross's clapping to become less and less motivated. But it doesn't stop one uninterested viewer from continuing to read 'The Girl on the Train.'

Kinebrew gives an acceptance speech telling people to visit DraftinPHL.com for the latest updates and then thanks 'his mom.' A surprise cameo appearance by a familiar face to Action News, Philly Police Director of Strategic Communications Denise James!

The Philly police are not alone in taking part in the NFL Draft humor.

The Philadelphia Zoo has been tweeting NFL teams including the Indianapolis Colts.

The Zoo tweeted a picture of a miniature horse to the Colts saying, "We've got your pick! What he lacks in size he makes up for in heart!"

The Colts responded, "Definitely looks like a "horseshoe guy" as coach would say... We'll keep our eyes on him as we get closer to our pick tonight."

There was a welcoming message to the Detroit Lions full of pride.

As well as a nod to the Eagles Kelly Green jerseys.

And the Zoo and its zebras wondered if there was a draft for the officials.

And this is just Day 1...
