PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Saturday is the Drug Enforcement Agency's national Drug Take-Back Day. It's just one effort to combat the opioid epidemic.

Collection locations will be set up across Philadelphia to get dangerous leftover prescriptions out of homes and disposed of properly.

More than 366 tons of drugs were collected at the last event.

The Drug Enforcement Agency says eight out of every ten drug addicts start by abusing prescription medications.
