CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- A burst pipe is responsible for some heavy damage inside a University of the Arts building.

It happened on the 300 block of South Broad Street in South Philadelphia.

Action News is told that thousands of gallons of water flooded the basement of the historic building.

Crews arrived on the scene around 3 a.m. Saturday, and as of mid-morning they were still pumping water out of the building.
