Woman hit, injured by train in Glenside, Pa.

GLENSIDE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A woman was struck and injured by a train late Friday night in the Glenside section of Abington Township, Montgomery County.

Police were called to the 2200 block of Mt. Carmel Ave around 11:30 p.m. for a woman lying in the middle of the train tracks.

She was found to be suffering serious injuries.

Police say the 35-year-old woman was walking along the tracks when she was hit by a train near a SEPTA station.

It's not clear at what time she was hit or which SEPTA train may have hit her.

The victim remains at Abington Hospital where she is expected to survive.
